Their dog foods are still prepared in company-owned facilities, and the brand remains closely tied to independent pet specialty stores rather than mass-market retail.
At Dorchester Pet Care & Supply, we carry a focused selection of Fromm Gold, selected Classic recipes, and some Four-Star formulas. Out of the full Fromm lineup, Gold is the line we recommend most often because it offers the best balance of everyday nutrition, life-stage options, and value for most dogs. Fromm describes Gold as tailored for different life stages, breed sizes, and lifestyles, while Four-Star is positioned more as a gourmet, variety-driven line, and Classic is based on their original family recipe tradition.
We do not stock every Fromm recipe in-store because Fromm has a very large range, and some formulas, especially in the Four-Star line, can get expensive. But we do have access to the full Fromm lineup and are happy to special order any Fromm food you want. So if you do not see your dog’s current recipe here, just reach out and we will do our best to get it for you.

Fromm Classic
Fromm Classic is a simpler, more traditional line based on the company’s original family recipe heritage. Fromm says these recipes are based on their original 1949 recipe and feature chicken, brown rice, and eggs. It is a solid option for customers looking for a more straightforward formula.
Fromm Four-Star
Four-Star is Fromm’s more premium, variety-focused line, with recipes inspired by different protein combinations and cuisine themes. It can be a great option for some dogs, but because of the price point and the large number of SKUs in the lineup, we are more selective with what we stock.
